Home  Market Services: The color, quality and HR practices for home services. Home Market Services opens its doors in February 2010, interview with Vincent Gokelaere, president:

Florence Travers: What is your approach to this market?
Vincent Gokelaere: It is pretty basic, "the best staff for the best service! This means method at all stages, a permanent quality requirement, a close relationship with our customers, continuous monitoring, on the lookout for every point of improvement. To do this, we will adopt a business model a little different from others and strengthen the involvement of our staff in the company.

FT: Why the purple and pink colors for HMS?
VG: First of all, I wanted bright colors because although paying for home services is a necessity, it should also mean pleasure and comfort. The bright colors create warmth and meet our goals to become the comfort and well being partners of our customers. Secondly, I wanted HMS to be different, and this choice of color perfectly meets this goal.

FT: You have wished for a website geared towards customer benefit, is it strategic?
VG: Yes, absolutely! We are fortunate in that market to receive significant assistance from the State with the tax cuts, thereby providing many households with an access to home service staff. It's a mini-revolution, which responds to multiple changes of the 21st century, and I can only be delighted. However, under the existing oversupply, I think you really need to highlight the quality of services and provide this service to our customers. Who did not dream of returning home in a clean tidy house, with dinner ready, ironed clothes, and enabled to devote time to those whom he or she likes and enjoy free time?

FT: You insist on HR practices in this industry, what will  your actions be in this area?
VG: The secret of this business is really human. It requires a drastic selection, ongoing monitoring, continuing education, a commitment to the company, a recognition of this commitment, and of course a respect for individuals. To do this, we implement methods and tools enabling us to monitor our staff to determine training needs, favor company loyalty.
